It is the policy of L.J. Walch Company Inc. to comply with all import and export requirements set forth by the US State Department, the Department of Treasury, and the Department of Commerce. Before export to any company, commercial or military, our process will insure a check against the denied parties and denied countries lists. Our International customers shipping articles for repair to LJW that have eligibility for installation on military aircrafts should follow the below procedures to insure a timely delivery and significant cost savings.
We cannot and will not accept components specially designed for military aircraft from countries that are listed on the ITAR proscribed countries list or that have an end use for the countries listed in ITAR 126.1.
For countries other than those listed in ITAR 126.1, please review our overhaul capabilities and confirm that we have the capability to service your components. Your repair order should state the end user, end use country and type of aircraft for each and every shipment.
If a component that is eligible for installation on military aircraft is sent to LJW for maintenance and required repairs are accomplished and those parts are subject to the Department of Commerce “600 series controls” we will then return under Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations, License Exception RPL as permitted by that exception. If a component that is eligible for installation on military aircraft is sent to LJW for maintenance and requires replacement, we may be required to obtain a US Department of Commerce export license to return the replaced component to you. The additional delay may be one to four weeks.
An advisory to LJW prior to shipment of any article that is eligible for installation on military aircrafts are the best path to take. Please send to [email protected].
Thanks for your interest in our company and feel free to contact any of our support staff or myself with any questions, comments, or concerns.
